Hotel Transylvania, the animated new release featuring the voices of Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez, won the weekend box office with $43 million, making it the biggest September debut ever.
The Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis time travel flick Looper came in second place with $21.1 million in ticket sales.
End of Watch nabbed third with $7.7 million.
Fourth and fifth places went to Trouble With The Curve and End House at the End of the Street, which earned $7.5 million and $7.3 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Pitch Perfect ($5.2 million) the Finding Nemo re-release ($3.9 million), Resident Evil: Retribution ($3.1 million), The Master ($2.8 million), and Won’t Back Down ($2.7 million).
